Delta Air Lines Foundation

Delta Air Lines Foundation continually strives to be a respected community partner in the neighborhoods where they do business and live. Through the Delta Air Lines Foundation and Sponsorship & Promotional Marketing areas, Delta seeks partnership opportunities that will increase brand awareness and loyalty, generate revenue, communicate customer benefits and new Delta products/services, and support positive community involvement.

Because of the large number of proposals they receive and limited resources we have to support them, all requests must be submitted via this website at least 90 days prior to the event for consideration. To submit a proposal, you will need to create an account and complete the questionnaire. All requests must include the following for consideration: Advertising/media plans, hospitality and event exposure opportunities, cost/benefits, and exclusivity in the airline category.

Once a proposal has been submitted, an acknowledgment email will be sent to your in-box.  Delta will review your proposal and determine if your opportunity is a strategic fit, and will respond to all proposals within 4 weeks of submission.

This seems like a great funding source for any chapter that requires air transportation to attend a regional or national conference.

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) and BDPA Middle Tennessee chapter combined on a $3,000 grant proposal to the Delta Air Lines Foundation.

Our hope is that they will provide in-kind donation of airfare to get the chapter's high school computer competition team to/from the Nashville airport to the Chicago O'Hare airport for the national BDPA Technology Conference on August 3-6, 2011 in Chicago, IL.

We should have an answer from Delta by the end of the month. Wish us luck!

We learned earlier this month that BDPA Middle Tennessee would not be receiving in-kind donation of airline tickets from Delta Air Lines in support getting their high school computer competition (HSCC) team to Chicago for the 2011 national HSCC championships.

Dear Wayne Hicks:

Thank you for submitting a sponsorship proposal on December 26, 2010, giving Delta the opportunity to become a corporate partner of Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship (SITES) Program [Nashville TN].

After careful consideration of the information provided, we are sorry to inform you that we will be declining your offer to partner with you at this time. The opportunity does not meet our current marketing or philanthropic objectives given our limited cash and barter resources.

We appreciate the opportunity, and would like to thank you for your interest in partnering with Delta. We wish you great success.

Sincerely,
The Delta Marketing Team

BETF will continue to work to find funds necessary to grow the youth education programs being offered by BDPA Middle Tennessee.

Feel free to reply to this post if you have ideas!

BDPA Education and Technology Foundation (BETF) worked with BDPA Seattle chapter (president, Ann Robinson) to submit a grant proposal to Delta Air Lines Foundation seeking ten (10) round-trip tickets. The tickets will allow BDPA Seattle students and chaperones to travel from the Pacific Northwest to Atlanta to participate in the various Student Information Technology Education & Scholarship (SITES) programs that occur at the BDPA Technology Conference on August 10-13, 2016.

BETF will continue to aggressively pursue funding to support the SITES initiative in Seattle ... including preparing students for the BDPA IT Showcase, BDPA Mobile Application Showcase and the High School Computer Competition. BETF is willing to do the same for any of the 47 local BDPA chapters. Reach out to BETF executive director if you have questions or wish to discuss further.
