Time 5:30 pm to 8 pm, followed by an After Meeting Networking Session with the BDPA "tech family"

Speaker  Deborah Smedley

As CIO of Franklin County Job & Family Services, Deborah Smedley oversees Network Operations, Telecommunications, Application Development and Data Solutions, Security and Project Management.  In this role, she implements cooperative projects and maximizes resource utilization with the County Data Center, manages the IT budget analysis and administration, and establishes, evaluates & maintains quality control and production standards.  She also sets priorities, participate in long range planning for programs and resources and prepares plans for facilities, supplies and equipment to meet current and forcasted needs of the department.  Her personal interests include innovation and new technology, a deep passion for writing, training and mentoring, and good debates. 


Information Exchange Meeting Overview:

At the I/E meeting, the speaker presents background information, and then facilitates discussion of a critical question regarding the topic.  Participants have the opportunity to learn gain new knowledge, to enhance abilities in articulating technical content, and to benefit from challenging discourse on important topics in information technology.
