We would like to invite you to a series of events on Saturday, February 13, 2010 in support of Black Family Technology Awareness Week (BFTAW) which is sponsored by National Grid.  Below are the details and the flyer is attached:

Subway: R to Lawrence St (closest stop), A, C, or F to Jay St ‐ Borough Hall, 2 or 3 to Hoyt St.

Free Events/Workshops will include:
Netsmartz Workshop"Internet Safety for Our Youth"
This workshop is to extend the safety awareness of children to prevent victimization and increase self‐confidence whenever they go online, enhance the ability of children to recognize dangers on the Internet and increase communication between adults and children about online safety.
Panel Discussion  "Cost Effective Solutions for Business Owners"
The discussion will allow Business Owners the opportunity to share with sponsors and community how they use technology to build and support their businesses. It also allows the community and local businesses to learn the role technology can play in their business growth.
Youth Technology Showcase
This event  will allow youth the opportunity to display technology initiatives to sponsors and the community. BDPA‐NY SITES students will showcase their research papers by presenting and demonstrating their research. The Eagle Foundation will do a Robotics presentation.
