WEBINAR | Tuesday, December 13, 2011 2:00 p.m.

A force multiplier, C4ISR technologies are critical to joint warfighting and interoperability in the early 21st century. Defense planners have made advanced C4ISR and networking capabilities an integral part of their doctrine and planning for achieving information superiority and enabling full spectrum dominance, but the dilemma remains how to pay for it in the current environment of constrained military budgets.

In fact, the biggest hurdle to the Pentagon's investment in C4ISR is not the availability of technological solutions for enabling network-centric operations but the limits on current defense budgets. During these times of budget constraints, DOD must make some hard decisions regarding tradeoffs between current and future C4ISR capabilities.

With declining defense budgets, the U.S. military must embrace C4ISR solutions that are both flexible and cost effective. In this webcast, learn how C4ISR systems can reduce costs by leveraging COTS technology and commercial standards, as well as achieve greater flexibility of applications and faster delivery of capability to the warfighter.

Speaker: Loren Thompson, Chief Operating Officer, Lexington Institute.
