Agile is not Scrum but Scrum is Agile

Agile software development is defined by the Agile Alliance as "a group of software development methods based on iterative and incremental development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams." Scrum, Scrumbut, Kanban, Extreme Programming, and Lean are some of the more popular agile methods or frameworks. Each having variant approaches, but the primary agile principles is the same across all agile frameworks. In order to truly leverage what agile frameworks like Scrum Scrumban, Kanban, Extreme Programing, and Lean are designed to offer, you must recognized the fact that Agile is not Scrum but Scrum is Agile.

Agile values individuals and interactions over processes and tools, working software over comprehensive documentation, customer collaboration over contract negotiation, and responding to change over following a plan. Scrum and other frameworks provide the rules for getting work done. These rules are what differentia Scrum from Scrumbut, Kanban Extreme Programming or Lean agile frameworks.

You will experience a deep dive into the four core values of Agile and contrast it to pure Scrum. Participants will come away with a clear differentiation between Agile and a Agile Framework. This will be an introductory lecture on the four core values of Agile.

Light Refreshments will be served
